What our clients are saying
I can’t imagine not having the Rabin Cone Contrast
“I can’t imagine not having the Rabin Cone Contrast. It has been so helpful for optic nerve disease, differentiation of glaucoma vs optic nerve pathology, following up post recovery, cone rod dystrophy, Stargardt, Best, and any maculopathy. Amazing for further investigating glaucoma damage with OCT and visual field images. Great tool. It’s extremely important to have this test in our offices.”
Ami Ranani, OD | Somers Eye Center, Somers, NY
I’ve been more than pleased
“I’ve been more than pleased with the ROI, ease of use, data gathered, and impact on patient care of the Rabin Cone Contrast Test.”
Christopher Lopez, OD | Griebenow Eyecare, New London, WI
I see the RABIN CCT as a leading indicator
“I see the RABIN CCT as a leading indicator, and I do weigh it heavily when I am considering earlier intervention. Glaucoma in particular, I see that the CCT often shows loss before other functional tests, and certainly before structural loss measures.”
Jeffery Martin, OD | Clear View Vision Care, Tucson, AZ
The Rabin CCT has been a tremendous addition to our diagnostic tool-box
“The Rabin Cone Contrast test has become an essential part of our posterior segment management for patients with diabetes and diabetic retinopathy. A quick, patient friendly, innovative color vision test that looks at all 3 cones - red, green and blue - it has revealed functional changes and impairments in patients before structural disease presents itself.
Patients care about their vision, which includes color vision, and I have had a number of patients that took their diabetes ocular management plan and follow-up visits much more seriously because of concerns about their abnormal color vision testing. This has led to better compliance in patients and better long term outcomes. The Rabin CCT has been a tremendous addition to our diagnostic tool-box by giving us a functional test that complements our array of structural tests so well.”
Nate Lighthizer, OD | Assoc. Dean, NSI OK College of Opt, Tahlequah, OK
I have loved adding the Rabin Cone Contrast to our diagnostic testing
“I have loved adding the Rabin Cone Contrast to our diagnostic testing abilities. It’s great having a baseline to monitor against changes, and have already found it helpful supporting my previous diagnoses of one eye being worse than the fellow eye… An added bonus is, even though I haven’t had it a complete year, it’s already paid for itself.”
Tom Finley, OD | Dr. Finley’s Family Eyecare, Herndon, VA
The Rabin CCT has been a tremendous addition to our diagnostic tool-box
“The Rabin Cone Contrast Test is a tool like visual field testing. If it is normal, it helps support a case that there is no pathology. If it is abnormal, it is another helpful piece of the puzzle to determine a diagnosis. Benefits of using the Rabin Cone Contrast Test:
1. Plaquenil macular screening to confirm healthy photoreceptors;
2. Diabetic macular edema or cataract to assist with decision making;
3. Optic neuropathies to confirm no red desaturation
4. Hereditary color vision deficiency documentation for military pilots or educating patients and parents.”
Nick Belill, OD | Belill Eye Care, Clio, MI
I was able to follow cases of glaucoma, cataracts, diabetes and macular degeneration much earlier
“I had a retinal camera and visual field, but felt that I wasn’t capturing enough diagnostic medical data to catch ocular conditions in their early stages. Once I purchased the Rabin Cone Contrast device I was able to follow cases of glaucoma, cataracts, diabetes and macular degeneration much earlier.”
Roberta Horwitz, OD | Eye Care For You, Pittsburgh, PA
We were better able to chart the progression of disease
“We are able to get a baseline with the Rabin Cone Contrast, like drusen distortion or macular edema…and better able to chart the progression of disease with this test.”
John McCall Jr., OD | Crockett Eye Clinic, Crockett, TX
I’ve used the Rabin CCT for over a year and it’s been an asset to my practice
“I’ve used the Rabin CCT for over a year and it’s been an asset to my practice. One of my patients was diagnosed with lupus a little over a year ago. She was having issues with double vision and her Rabin CCT scores were very reduced in the red and green in both eyes but the blue was 100%. She was having an optic neuritis flare-up. When the flare-up was under control I decided to try the Rabin CCT again and her values were up in the normal range. It proved to me how the Rabin CCT could be a value asset in my practice.
I’ve been using it on retinal vein occlusion patients, as well as diabetes and AMD patients who I start on special supplements. I’m excited to see if their Rabin CCT scores improve.”
Miles Press, OD | Eyecare of Virginia, Herndon, VA
Cone and cone pathway deficiencies can be detected
“If the Rabin Cone Contrast Test is used as part of normal patient screening, cone and cone pathway deficiencies can be detected, and abnormalities can then be confirmed with other technologies such as OCT, autofluorescence, central fields, micro-perimetry, pattern electroretinograms (pERGs) and visual-evoked potentials (VEPs).”
Jerome Sherman, OD | SUNY Distinguished Professor, New York, NY
The continued support from your company has been great
“We had looked at the device from Konan and aside from the differences in the test, the continued support from you and your company has been great and the interactions have been much more pleasant than I experience with them.”
“The technicians have LOVED the update to both using the Landolt C option and the controller. One technician was telling me that she would routinely do data entry or set up the phoropter while they took the test and now she barely can get logged into the EHR system and pull up the patient before they are done with one eye. It seems to be a nice time saving update!”
